Delivered to you by Proudly supported by 127275 LADIES and gentlemen, boys and girls – merry Christmas and happy New Year! On behalf of the talented and dedi- cated staff of Times Newspapers, it has been our pleasure to have brought to you the best in news and advertising coverage in this eventful year of 2014. We all live, work and play in one of the best places in New Zealand and the world and share a sense of com- munity that is unique and appreci- ated by its residents. It’s a privilege to live in a place where we can enjoy wonderful activ- ities and events with motivated and creative characters, in a beautiful environment that is safe and peace- ful, where people look out for one another. That is the true meaning of community. As with every new year, there will be challenges ahead and changes to routines, and the Times also has some exciting plans in the pipeline, too, but more about that in 2015. Like many groups and businesses, we recently celebrated the end of year with our Christmas party. The theme was End of an Era – the 1970s, because Times Newspapers started in 1972. It was a real local affair, held at Montressors Function Centre, Pakuranga United Rugby Club – the leading rugby club in New Zealand, with delicious catering from Six Sixty Six. Our MC was the always cheerful Andrew Laing of House of Travel, Howick, who is also a Howick Vil- lage Business Association committee member. And spinning discs for the danc- ers was Diamond Dave – DJ David Collings, the chairman of the Howick Local Board. Enjoy the holidays and see you again bright and early in 2015! – PJ Taylor, Editor We wish you a merry Christmas!
