Cats need new homes All cat-lovers out there have the chance to find a new friend for their family at Lonely Miaow’s cat adopt-athon at the Whitford Vet Clinic Open Day on Sunday, December 6. In the midst of kitten season, cat rescue organisation Lonely Miaow currently have over 200 cats on their books that desperately need new homes. Lonely Miaow’s new recruit Emma Duckworth says this is a chance for those who are looking for a new cat to add to their family. “ We have so many cats we can’t take any more right now,” she says, “so we need to find homes for those we have.” Currently fostering three kittens that were found without a mum, Ms Duckworth says she offered to help out with the event to help ease the load on some of the other volunteers. The adopt-athon will run from 9am-1pm at the Whitford Vet Clinic, Whitford Wharf Road.
