Uxbridge has always appreciated the genuine support the Times has consistently shown for our community arts activities and events. After all this time, an item in the Times remains the single best method by which Uxbridge reaches the local commu- nity and informs people about our programmes. -- Tony Morgan, Uxbridge Creative Centre manager As president of Howick Art Group, I'd like to express my appreciation for the service the Howick and Pakuranga Times has given us over many years. We've had excellent service from the paper and appreciate its prompt attention to detail. We have also ben- efited from its generous monthly articles about our exhibitions. -- Rae McKeown In 1954, Alma Woods placed a small advertisement in the Howick Post, which led to 18 people forming the Howick Little Theatre group. Fifty- eight years on and Howick Little Theatre is still going strong, and is a community theatre with strong ties to our community newspaper, the Howick and Pakuranga Times. From play reviews to news features on work being done at the theatre and advertisements for auditions and pro- ductions, the Times has been a part of the fabric of the life of the theatre. Congratulations on being part of our neighbourhood for 40 years. -- Rae McGregor, Howick Little Theatre president Te Tuhi Centre for the Arts has long enjoyed a close relationship with the Howick and Pakuranga Times. It's a great local paper that provides a well rounded selection of stories, includ- ing fantastic coverage of the arts. It has always been a pleasure to deal with Phil Taylor and Daniel Silverton, who always pen great articles. Who can forget the Howick Hornets' 2011 season, when they swept all before them to take out their very first Appliance Shed Fox Memorial title, a feat that was covered superbly by the Times. -- Gordon Gibbons, Auckland Rugby League football operations manager Congratulations on 40 years of fan- tastic service to the local commu- nity. Your contribution and support of Howick Pakuranga Cricket Club (HPCC) over the years is much appreciated.
