Floral fanatics HOWICK Floral Circle holds its last, but special Christmas meeting for the year on Novem- ber 25 at Howick Bowling Club, Selwyn Road, starting at noon. The special demonstrator is Vanita Patel, an entertaining and talented foral designer, who is also president of the Auckland branch of the Floral Association of NZ. Highland fling THE 38th Auckland Highland Games are held at Three Kings Reserve on November 23 from 11am to 5pm. It’s a free event provided by the Auckland High- lands Games Association and Auckland Council. Highland dancing, solo pipers competition, pipe bands march past, tossing the caber, tug-o-war, Gleneagles stud ponies, Scottish crafts and fne foods, face-painting, bouncy castle and lots more to see and do. It will be fun for the whole family and a warm welcome is extended to the Clan Macleod’s world gathering.
